Motivating children at an early age is crucial. They are the most important ones to influence, and the easiest ones to engage.

Our mission is to raise awareness and knowledge on safety at sea and ocean health among millions of children all over the world.
In doing so, we hope to contribute to a safe, healthy and prosperous ocean for current and future generations.
The ELIAS brand was founded and developed by Alf Knutsen and Sigurd Slåttebrekk in the late 1990s, based on an original idea by Alf Knutsen. The co-creators, both musicians, spent a lot of time watching children's television with their own children. Realizing how dominant fighting and battle-based cartoons were at the time, they decided to make something genuinely nice and meaningful for children.
They then developed two children's books, one written by Knutsen, and prepared the concept for the screen, where ELIAS was developed into award-winning TV-series and feature films produced by Filmkameratene/John M. Jacobsen and Animando/Sigurd Slåttebrekk.
Twenty years later, ELIAS has reached out to more than 120 countries throughout the world, and Elias has decided to take on a new and great mission.
